Located in the town of Freedom, The Lost Kitchen is one of the area’s best destination restaurants. Once a mill, the building was recently added to the National Register of Historic Places.  The menu is prix fixe.  No bar but you may purchase wine and beer in the basement wine shop or bring your own.  Reservations are made by postcard lottery in April and are hence booked for the season. Check their website for any change in availability. We do not recommend showing up on the off chance they may fit you in.

The Hichborn in Stockton Springs offers prix fixe and a la carte dining in a historic house. Call for reservations. The owners also operate Hey Sailor in Searsport.
