Events

There a number of events that occur throughout the summer.

The Belfast Creative Coalition sponsors an art walk the fourth Friday in May, June, July, August, and September. See http://belfastcreativecoalition.org for details.

Arts in Rockland sponsors an art walk the first Monday of May through October.  The Farnsworth Art Museum and Center for Maine Contemporary Art are usually free these nights.  See http://www.artsinrockland.org for details and schedule.

Bay Chamber Concerts has music events  at a number of venues in Rockport and Camden. See http://www.baychamberconcerts.org for schedule.

Maine Boats Homes and Harbors sponsors the Maine Boat & Home Show one weekend each August in Rockland Harbor. The show features some of Maine’s finest artists, architects, boatbuilders, craftsmen, designers, furniture makers, jewelers, and marine gear vendors.  See https://maineboats.com for more details.

Camden International Film Festival occurs each year in September. With hundreds of filmmakers and industry professionals attending annually, CIFF has become a major platform for the discovery of new artists and the creative exploration of the documentary form. The festival is an Academy-qualifying festival for the Documentary Short Subject Award, and one of 14 qualifying festivals for the Cinema Eye Honors. The Common Ground Fair sponsored by the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association takes place over a weekend each September in the town of Unity.  The fair is attended by approximately 60,000 people and celebrates the rural and agricultural heritage of Maine.
